Joining the Crankworx World Tour as a first editor presented a steep learning curve that swiftly escalated my career. After the initial stop on the FMBA world tour, I, Jay Nadeau, was thrust into the role of project lead. This responsibility involved producing a 26-minute show on the slopestyle events for broadcast on Red Bull TV, with the program being showcased globally as a premier action sports show.

The stakes were high. Each tour stop provided just one week on-site for filming, followed by a mere two weeks back home to deliver a fully edited and engaging narrative. Observing the three-stop highlights reveals a visible progression in the quality and impact of the editing, culminating in what I consider one of my best edits to date.

The narrative peaked with the stories of Brett Rheeder, potentially clinching the triple crown, and Emil Johansson aiming for his first competition win. This project was a blend of high-stakes competition and cinematic storytelling—and we absolutely nailed it!
